Vacationers and golf pros agree that Puerto Rico has some of the finest courses in the Caribbean and Latin America, offering a wide variety of golfing experiences. This golfer's paradise is home to 23 golf courses, including 17 championship-level courses and more on the way. Courses are designed by the most famous names including -- Greg Norman, Gary Player, Robert Trent Jones Sr., Tom and George Fazio, Rees Jones and Arthur Hills. Chi Chi Rodríguez, Puerto Rico's beloved professional golfer, has also influenced the design of several golf courses on the island and inaugurated his own El Legado Golf Course, during 2004.

In addition to challenging, world-class golf, Puerto Rico offers warm, magical experiences, plentiful tee-times in magnificent natural settings, luxurious golf amenities and exciting nightlife options when darkness falls.

As the Caribbean Mecca for golfers, Puerto Rico has been the site of top professional and amateur tournaments. In 2010 Puerto Rico will host the third Puerto Rico Open at Trump International Golf Club in Rio Grande. This internationally recognized event is the best PGA TOUR tournament in the Caribbean.

Tee times in Puerto Rico usually begin at 7:00 a.m., and with approximately 12 hours of daylight, there's plenty of time for 54 holes of golf.

Whether a duffer or an avid golfer, Puerto Rico offers a varied mix of courses that make golfing a memorable and exciting experience. And when the game ends for the day, there is a wide variety of activities to explore -- beaches, water sports, the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System, 500 years of art and architecture, shopping, casinos, nightclubs and the finest restaurants in the Caribbean.
