TaylorMade Golf's Ghost Spider series putter line is expanding with the addition of Ghost Spider Si, a high MOI (moment of inertia), counterbalanced model that has a 380-gram head and 15-inch, 130-gram counterbalanced grip that improves stability and control.

According to TaylorMade, Ghost Spider Si has an MOI that's more than 6,000 -- standard blade and mallet models have an MOI that ranges from 3,500-4,500 -- which makes the putter head more forgiving and resistant to twisting at impact.

The putter, which debuted earlier this season at the Humana Challenge in partnership with the Clinton Foundation, is being touted as one of the "most consistent and forgiving putters" TaylorMade has produced, and has already been used on TOUR by Retief Goosen, Lucas Gloves, Rory Sabbatini and Andres Romero.

"The player excitement on TOUR over counterbalanced putters drove the creation of the Ghost Spider Si,” said Tomo Bystedt, TaylorMade's director of product creation for irons, putters and wedges. “It's the perfect putter for players who want the benefits of a high MOI head and counterbalanced stroke stability in a clean, elegant design."

Ghost Spider Si comes in two lengths (35 and 38 inches) with the company's PureRoll Surlyn insert that promotes a smooth roll and solid feel. The putter will be available March 14 and retails for $200.
