Tiger Woods typically wears the white or black version of Nike's TW '14 shoe when he tees it up. However, Woods decided to go with brighter, more patriotic colorway for the first round of The Honda Classic on Thursday at PGA National.
Woods sported red, white and blue shoes that were created by Dane Thompson -- the winner of Nike Golf's recent competition that gave amateur designers the opportunity to design a pair of TW '14 NIKEiD shoes for Woods to wear at a 2014 PGA TOUR event.
According to Nike, Thompson’s design boasts a white leather upper, blue midsole and red Nike Swoosh, Nike Flywire and laces. No word yet if the 14-time major winner plans to wear the custom colorway again this week.
