Six-time PGA TOUR winner Matt Kuchar became the latest high-profile name — Graeme McDowell re-signed with Srixon last week — to sign an equipment contract extension, agreeing to terms on a four-year deal with Bridgestone Golf through 2017. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"Bridgestone has been with me since the beginning, and they have never wavered in their commitment to me or my success," Kuchar said. "There are so many unknowns in golf, so being able to trust that my equipment is the best out there is invaluable."
Kuchar will continue to use Bridgestone's ball (Bridgestone Tour B330-S), clubs (Bridgestone J40 430 driver, Bridgestone J40 Cavity Back irons and Bridgestone J40 Black Oxide wedges), and wear the company's Matt Kuchar Collection headwear line.
The new contract extension comes on the heels of a banner season for Kuchar, who amassed more than $5.6 million and won the World Golf Championship-Accenture Match Play Championship and the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide Insurance.
