With a 2-under 68 on Sunday at East Lake Golf Club, Henrik Stenson became the first European to win the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola and the FedExCup. He also became the first to win with TaylorMade's SLDR driver.
After snapping the head off his TaylorMade R1 in moment of frustration at the BMW Championship, Stenson arrived at East Lake in search of a new driver. But instead of just reshafting his R1, Stenson took the opportunity to test out R1 against SLDR.
With his usual Grafalloy Blue X shaft in both drivers, Stenson knocked off 400 RPM's of spin and picked up 10 extra yards with the new SLDR. The driver also featured an additional 1.5 degrees of loft compared to his old R1.
Along with the new driver, Stenson was also forced to play with 13 clubs during the second round after cracking the face on his 17-wood Callaway X Hot Pro on the practice range. Stenson received a new head on Saturday and had the club reshafted. Here's a look at the rest of the clubs in his bag.
