Michael Allen will defend his title this week at the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic at Fallen Oak in Biloxi.
The event has a new sponsor this year. Wireless communications company C Spire embarks on a three-year agreement to become presenting sponsor.
Allen rallied in the final round last year to overcome Bernhard Langer. Allen shot 67 in the decisive third round for an 11-under 205 total and one-stroke victory over Langer. Russ Cochran, Gene Sauers and Tom Pernice, Jr. tied for third at 208.
Allen began the final round 2 shots behind Langer. Allen erased the deficit with seven birdies on the first 13 holes, including five straight beginning at the third.
