The Wyndham Reward Top 10 is a season-long competition that offers a $10 million bonus for the 10 golfers who end the regular season at the Wyndham Championship inside the top 10 in FedExCup points. The player atop the standings will earn $2 million, with varying payoffs for the others through $500,000 for the 10th place finisher.
This week: Houston Open
Current Top 10 in field
1. Sebastián Muñoz
3. Cameron Champ
T7. Tom Hoge
9. Harris English
10. Brian Harman
No. 1 watch: Sebastián Muñoz remains atop the Wyndham Rewards Top 10 standings for the third consecutive week. Muñoz took over for Joaquin Niemann, who won the opening event to start the season at No. 1.
Top 10 moves: Two players moved inside the Wyndham Rewards Top 10 by virtue of their results at last week’s Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. Winner Kevin Na moved from 48th to second place behind Muñoz. Patrick Cantlay, who lost the playoff to Na to finish solo second, moved from 95th to seventh. Dropping out of the top 10: Byeong Hun An and Marc Leishman.
• Seventeen players in this week’s field have a chance to end the week No. 1 in the standings by winning the Houston Open and claiming the 500 FedExCup points. The list includes those players currently in the top 10 (see above), as well as
Lanto Griffin (11), Pat Perez (13), Richy Werenski (16), Carlos Ortiz (20), Xinjun Zhang (21), Denny McCarthy (22), Scottie Scheffler (23), Mark Hubbard (25), Bronson Burgoon (26), Robby Shelton (27), Brian Gay (29) and Zac Blair (33).
• A total of 48 players in the field will be seeking their first FedExCup points of the season. A win by any player should result in a top-5 spot in the Wyndham Rewards Top 10 standings.
• Henrik Stenson is making his PGA TOUR season debut this week in Houston. His last start was a T27 at the World Golf Championships-FedEx St. Jude Classic in July. Stenson won the FedExCup in 2013.
