D.A. Points leaned on a strong tee-to-green game to get in the mix, and then made a few key birdie putts down the stretch to win the Puerto Rico Open. The three-time TOUR winner found the fairway 83.9 percent (tied for first in the field) with a TaylorMade '16 M2 driver, and hit 88.9 percent of his greens in regulation with a split set of irons consisting of TaylorMade's game-improvement SLDR model and PING's i5 that debuted in 2005.
While most of Points' bag hasn't changed in the last few years, he put a new Sik Pro putter in play this week. The putter is the same model that's currently used by Bryson DeChambeau, who tied for second in Puerto Rico.
The putter features Sik's Descending Loft Technology design on the face. According to the company, "each plane descends in loft by one-degree thereby neutralizing every golfers’ inability to achieve a consistent shaft angle at impact." The end result is a putter that optimizes launch for a more consistent roll.
Here's a look at Points' entire bag setup.
