MORE INTERVIEWS: Crowne Plaza Invitational transcripts

Q. You come back and play three holes in the morning?

MATT KUCHAR: There is no telling. I don't know if this is a big storm or not. I guess there is potential, we got another hour and a half of proper light. So if we are only in if a half hour maybe we may get back. I'm hoping so. The conditions are just perfect right now. It's still out, it's flat. I enjoy playing out there.

Q. They are done, it is back at 7:15.

MATT KUCHAR: Oh, it is. That's a bit of a bummer. It's no fun to wake up at 4:30 to get out here and play three holes. But we get used to it for what we do.

Q. Talk about you had 5-under through 15?

MATT KUCHAR: The front 9 I really got it going early. The chances for eagle on one. I almost holed a shot there on two. I got it going early and played some good steady golf on the backside, too.

Q. You talk about playing aggressive. Yesterday did you kind of continue that mindset today or not?

MATT KUCHAR: I still hit a lot of drivers off the tee, still looking to make a lot of birdies out here. The course is in great shape. The conditions are pretty still out here. It would be a good afternoon to make some birdies.

Q. The rain delay kept Matt Kuchar from finishing his round on Friday, but when you did play golf you got off to a good start particular on 9?

MATT KUCHAR: Yes, I really got off to a good start, had a good start from No. 1. I hit about a 15-footer for eagle, left it just short. I jarred a shot on 2 that landed in the hole and came back out, left it about two feet. I really got off to a great start. And then I kept playing some good golf. This course can give you trouble, but if you are hitting it good you can make some birdies out here. I was hitting it good and able to fire at some pins today.

Q. Is this completely about a mindset for you then making sure that you continue to stay aggressive even on a golf course where little mistakes can get you?

MATT KUCHAR: Yes, I think if these conditions stay like they are, guys are going to make a lot of birdies, the scores are going to be pretty low. And that's the thing to play on certain courses where you got to go low. Hopefully the good putting will continue over the weekend.

Q. On a golf course like this, as you are going through the leaderboard and trying to make sure you stay there and stay aggressive, what do you have to guard against?

MATT KUCHAR: The key around here is driving the ball well, put it in the fairway you for a good opportunity to make birdies. If you are playingout of the rough, the ball is going to jump and it is going to be hard to control it, so No. 1 key is just driving the ball well.
