The Albertsons Boise Open returns for it's 29th consecutive year at Hillcrest Country Club making it one of the longest running events on the Web.com Tour.
This tournament has played host to many memorable moments including when Michelle Wie made history by becoming both the youngest and first female participant in 2003 when she teed it up on a sponsor's exemption. Rickie Fowler made his professional debut here in 2009 on a sponsor's exemption. Other notables to have teed it up in Boise include Bubba Watson in 2006, Jason Day in 2007, and more recently the PGA TOUR Player of the Year, Justin Thomas who finished third here in 2014.
Wednesday features the Idaho Statesman Junior Clinic presented by Tyson Foods. This event is free of charge and gives juniors of all ages and abilities the opportunity to interact with the world's best golfers. Saturday is Family Day at the Boise Open and kids 15 and under are admitted free all week to the tournament.
