SAO PAULO, Brazil -- Proving he is still going strong at 77, World Golf Hall of Famer Gary Player is in São Paulo this week to kick off the Tour's Brasil Classic presented by HSBC.

On Tuesday, Player mentored three of Brazil's brightest young players, two of whom are playing in the tournament (Rafael Becker and Daniel Stapff), in short-game skills. He will also be participating in an HSBC-sponsored clinic, which will feature 20 junior golfers representing the Brazilian Golf Federation. Mr. Player returns on Wednesday to participate in tournament pro-am activities.

This event is the Tour's first in Brazil, the host country for the 2016 Olympics when golf will return to competition.
