Power Rankings: Chitimacha Louisiana Open

After a week off, the Nationwide Tour will make its domestic debut this week with the Chitimacha Louisiana Open in Broussard, La.

The first three tournaments of the season were played in Latin America, and now the Nationwide Tour will begin a stretch of three tournaments in the next four weeks. This week's tournament has a $500,000 purse with $90,000 going to the winner.

He's coming off a second place showing in Chile after firing rounds of 66-64 on the weekend. The former Stanford star is hoping momentum will carry over to this week. He spent last season on the PGA TOUR where he made 13 cuts.
The former Georgia Tech player won two weeks ago in Chile in just his third Nationwide Tour start and he's very capable of winning more this season. The Dallas native is just 24. It wouldn't be a surprise to see him in contention again.
He won here in 2001 when he beat Tim Petrovic by a shot. Claxton has made all three cuts this season. The 44-year-old with 370 Nationwide Tour tournaments under his belt has a T13, T51, and two weeks ago finished third in Chile.
He's 1-for-1 so far on the Nationwide Tour winning in Panama, which is good enough to place him third on the money list. After missing his first three cuts on the PGA TOUR, this rookie has done a little better with a T63 at MayaKoba and T25 at Puerto Rico.
The PGA TOUR veteran shot rounds of 67-65-70-69 to win last year's Chitimacha Louisiana Open. He's making his Nationwide Tour debut this week after playing three times on the PGA TOUR and making one cut.

Defending champion Brett Wetterich, a two-time winner of this event, will be back to try and win for the third time.
