Picks: Melwood Prince George's County Open

PGATOUR.COM will have expert picks and sleepers for each Nationwide Tour event this year. Our experts -- Nationwide Tour producer Ceri Mobley and marketing assistant Jordan Crampton, who formerly worked for the Nationwide Tour -- will each choose two players they consider favorites that week and a sleeper pick (a player who is not inside "THE 25"). Here are their selections for this week's Melwood Prince George's County Open.
Crampton's picks Mobley's picks
Bubba Dickerson. Already a winner in 2009, Dickerson has been in a bit of a slump recently. However, he had a strong showing here last year until a third-round 76 took him out of contention. If Dickerson can right the ship this week, I think he'll be a strong contender.
Michael Sim. I finally got the No. 1 player on Tour back this week -- what a relief. Yes, Sim did slow down a bit over the weekend in Raleigh; the pressure of what a third win means probably got to him. Hopefully that's out of his system and he'll be ready in Maryland.
Alex Prugh. Like Dickerson, Prugh has also won in 2009. He has notched four top-25s and seems to have recovered from a brutal April where he missed three consecutive cuts. A win here would really help Prugh secure his position inside "THE 25" and put him in position to make the PGA TOUR next season.
D.J. Brigman. I thought about Roger Tambellini here, but, quietly, Brigman has become one of the hottest players on Tour in the last few weeks -- recording ties for third and fourth in his last two starts and hopping inside "THE 25." He was T25 here last year, so he should have confidence coming in this week.
Crampton's sleeper Mobley's sleeper
Adam Bland. This relatively unknown Nationwide Tour rookie has put together a solid start to his season; in just five starts, he has notched three top-25s and only missed one cut. After making the cut last week, let's hope this rookie can keep up his good play this week.
Jeff Brehaut. I like Brehaut a lot this week. He's been fairly consistent this year, and coming off a tie for 28th in Raleigh bodes well as he heads to a tournament where he tied for second in 2008. He was just one stroke back, so he has a score to settle in Maryland.

LAST WEEK: Both our experts struggled last week with two missed cuts each and only ties for 23rd and 30th between them, so there wasn't much movement in the standings.
