- Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy both took part in the Ice Bucket Challenge.
The Ice Bucket Challenge has swept across the Internet, and now two of golf's biggest names have taken part. Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods both took the challenge in this video posted on Woods' website. There was a bit of teamwork between fellow Nike athletes Woods and McIlroy, as they dumped the ice on the other person's head. Ice Bucket Challenge participants also call out people they want to take the challenge, and Woods and McIlroy enlisted some big names. McIlroy called out President George W. Bush and soccer star Wayne Rooney, while Nike chairman Phil Knight was among the men that Woods enlisted. Check out the video below and let us know in the comments section below which PGA TOUR players you would like to see take the challenge.
UPDATE: McIlroy’s challenge was enough to push President George W. Bush to take the Ice Bucket Challenge, as well.
Bush has been called out by a number of people the past few weeks. Speaking today on the “Today Show,” Bush’s daughter Jenna said, “I think actually the golfer who challenged my dad, that’s what really got him. … I put the peer pressure on a lot, but I would say my dad loves golf so I think it was probably (Rory).”
Bush went on to challenge President Bill Clinton.
