In the FedExCup Playoffs, groups in the first two rounds are determined according to their FedExCup points ranking. The top three players in points always play together, the next three play together and so on.

Here's a look at some of the featured groups. The numbers in parentheses indicate a player's FedExCup ranking:

THE BARCLAYS: Tee times for Round 1 and Round 2 | Complete Barclays coverage

Rory McIlroy (1), Jimmy Walker (2), Bubba Watson (3) -- Walker led the FedExCup race for nearly the entire season until Rory went on his three-win streak. McIlroy, you may recall, won twice during the Playoffs in 2012. Tee times: Rd. 1 - 8:26 a.m. ET off 10th tee; Rd. 2 - 1:06 p.m. ET off 1st tee

Jordan Spieth (8), Patrick Reed (9), Chris Kirk (10) -- Spieth has the highest finish of any TOUR rookie in the Playoffs, having finished 7th last year. He has managed to place ahead of Reed and Kirk despite not having a win this season. Tee times: Rd. 1 -- 8:15 a.m. ET off 10th tee: Rd. 2 - 12:55 p.m. off 1st tee

Matt Kuchar (4), Jim Furyk (5), Sergio Garcia (7) -- Furyk has 12 top-10 finishes in Playoffs, including the 2010 TOUR Championship win that led to his FedExCup victory. Garcia has nine top-10 finishes and Kuchar has six, including one in each of the last five years. Tee times: Rd. 1 - 1:06 p.m. ET off 1st tee; Rd. 2 - 8:26 a.m. ET off 10th tee

Zach Johnson (11), Brendon Todd (12), Webb Simpson (13) -- Johnson's status guarantees him a spot in the BMW Championship, where he will enter as the defending champ. Tee times: Rd. 1 - 12:55 p.m. ET off 1st tee; Rd. 2 - 8:15 a.m. ET off 10th tee

Martin Kaymer (13), Adam Scott (14), Rickie Fowler (15) -- Perhaps you've heard of these three. Kaymer had the hottest streak prior to McIlroy, winning THE PLAYERS Championship and the U.S. Open. Scott was ranked No. 1 in the world for a long stretch, and nobody had a better scoring average in the majors this year than Fowler. Tee times: Rd. 1 - 8:04 a.m. ET off 10th tee; Rd. 2 - 12:44 p.m. ET off 1st tee

Gary Woodland (32), Charles Howell III (33), Jason Day (34) -- We picked this group out because all three are bombers. Each one averaged more than 300 yards in driving distance this year, with Howell the longest off the tee with a 304.4 average that ranked him ninth overall. Tee times: Rd. 1 - 8:04 a.m. ET off 1st tee; Rd. 2 - 12:44 p.m. ET off 10th tee
