BETHESDA, Md. -- Arline Deacon of Fayetteville, Ga., is sure to be Peter Hanson's newest fan.

After all, she won a year's worth of mortgage payments from Quicken Loans on Saturday when he aced the second hole at Congressional Country Club during the third round of the Quicken Loans National. The Swede used a 4-iron for the 223-yard shot.

"I'm glad I could make someone happy," Hanson said.

Had that hole-in-one come at No. 10 at Congressional, though, the Sweepstakes prize would have been $1 million. An additional $25,000 would be donated to the charity of that player's choice.

While the $1 million is only at stake at No. 10 this week, Quicken Loans will continue to award a year's mortgage payments to a randomly selected fan for every hole-in-one made on the PGA TOUR the rest of the 2014 calendar year.

Hanson's hole-in-one was the first of his PGA TOUR career and the first at No. 2 during the eight-year history of the Quicken Loans National. The ace is the 11th on TOUR this year.

"It was always kind of a weird feeling to see the ball disappear," Hanson said. "Everybody that played the game that had a hole-in-one knows what it's like, and it's a great feeling."

Bill Emerson, the CEO of Quicken Loans, said Hanson's ace was one of the longest he had ever seen. He enjoyed letting Deacon know about her good fortune, too.

"You can only imagine her surprise when I called to let her know she was our winner," Emerson said. "Arline is just the first of what we hope will be many people winning mortgage payments -- plus we're still holding out for the million dollar ace on the 10th hole tomorrow."

In addition, Quicken Loans will also randomly select a total of 10 entrants per month, July through December, to receive one month's mortgage payment. Quicken Loans is the Official Mortgage Sponsor of the PGA TOUR.

When he talked with reporters after his round, someone suggested that Hanson should invite himself over to Deacon's house for barbeque.

"Yeah, maybe I should do that," Hanson said. "Actually Billy Haas's caddie said, 'Drinks are on you, I guess.' I offered him Gatorade out of the cooler but he didn't really want it."

Fans can register for the "Hole-In-One Sweepstakes" at PGATOUR.com/QuickenLoans or onsite during the tournament at various Quicken Loans Registration Kiosks at Congressional, including the main entrance, 11th hole spectator village and VIP entrance.
