  • Bradley wins $10,000 for St. John's

LA JOLLA, Calif. -- Keegan Bradley began the third round of the Farmers Insurance Open seven shots off the lead, but already claimed a victory before the day even began.

Amidst broken glass, thousands of cheering fans and dozens of college mascots, the St. John's alum emerged victorious at the second-annual Farmers Insurance University Day Challenge at Torrey Pines.

Themed after Farmers University of Farmers and the accompanying ad campaign, the Farmers University Day challenge pitted Bradley, Ben Crane, Rickie Fowler and Camilo Villegas in a last man standing glass break challenge.

With Bradley's victory, St. John’s earned $10,000 for the Red Storm golf team.
