Koepka holes long birdie putt at 6

By Sean Martin, PGATOUR.COM

SAN MARTIN, Calif. -- Brooks Koepka continues to impress at the Frys.com Open. He briefly held a four-shot lead after holing a 45-foot birdie putt at No. 6 to reach 17 under par. Jimmy Walker made birdie at No. 8 shortly after to pull within three shots. George McNeill and Jason Kokrak were at 13 under par.

Vijay Singh reached 14 under par, but made bogeys at Nos. 7 and 8.

Koepka was 2 under par after seven holes, making a 10-foot birdie putt on No. 2 and the 45-footer on the sixth hole. He hit six of his first seven greens in regulation Sunday. Koepka hit at least 13 greens in each of the previous three rounds.

Hideki Matsuyama, fresh off last week's Presidents Cup, made the turn in 3-under 32 to reach 12 under par. Matsuyama is making his debut as a PGA TOUR member after finishing in the top 25 in all six PGA TOUR starts as a professional in 2013. His career-best finish is T-6 at this year's The Open Championship.
