Preview: Stricker-Spieth (U.S.) vs. Grace-Sterne (Int'l)

DUBLIN, Ohio -- A preview of the Friday Foursomes match between the American duo of Steve Stricker-Jordan Spieth vs. the International duo of Branden Grace-Richard Sterne. Tee time for this match is 1:32 p.m. ET.

Steve Stricker
12-8-0 (4-3-0 Foursomes)

Branden Grace
0-1-0 (0-0-0)

Jordan Spieth
1-0-0 (0-0-0)

Richard Sterne
0-1-0 (0-0-0)

United States: Stricker's experience was a calming influence on the rookie Spieth on Thursday and the comfort zone that comes from three days of playing together this week should pay dividends in the Foursomes. Spieth took awhile to get untracked in their Four-ball match but ended up making six birdies to Stricker's eight. He'll need to shake off the water-logged tee shot at the 18th hole but Spieth is wise beyond his years. -- Helen Ross, PGATOUR.COM

International: They got run over by Johnson and Dufner after making just three combined birdies in 15 holes Thursday. More worrisome is that they also made three bogeys, including one on the par-5 fifth. Also problematic: Hitting just six fairways. That kind of performance isn't going to beat anyone, much less Stricker and Spieth. Expect a similar outcome in this one with Stricker and Spieth winning easily. -- Brian Wacker, PGATOUR.COM

Helen Ross: U.S. Look for Stricker and Spieth to make short work of the South Africans.

Brian Wacker: U.S. Firepower. They made 14 birdies on Thursday.
