Preview: Simpson-Snedeker (U.S.) vs. Cabrera-Leishman (Int'l)

DUBLIN, Ohio -- A preview of the Friday Foursomes match between the American duo of Webb Simpson-Brandt Snedeker vs. the International duo of Cabrera-Leishman. Tee time for this match is 1:43 p.m. ET.

Webb Simpson
3-2-1 (2-0-0 Foursomes)

Angel Cabrera
4-7-3 (1-3-0)

Brandt Snedeker
0-1-0 (0-0-0)

Marc Leishman
0-1-0 (0-0-0)

United States: Snedeker was the rock in his match with Mahan on Thursday, producing seven birdies in the losing effort, while Simpson had four in the match he and Bill Haas halved. Both are solid tee-to-green, and Snedeker ranks fourth on TOUR in strokes-gained putting. Snedeker went 1-1 in Foursomes at the Ryder Cup while Simpson is undefeated in three matches, two at the 2011 Presidents Cup and another at last year's Ryder Cup. -- Helen Ross, PGATOUR.COM

International: This twosome wasn't much better than Grace and Sterne with just four birdies between them in 14 holes in what was the other whitewashing of the opening day. Cabrera and Leishman hit just six and seven fairways respectively and weren't any better on the greens once they got there. They trailed the entire match and I don't see things improving a whole lot against two guys who can roll the rock. -- Brian Wacker, PGATOUR.COM

Helen Ross: U.S. Simpson and Snedeker should complement each other well.

Brian Wacker: U.S. More putts will fall for the Americans.
