International team practices in pods

By Brian Wacker, PGATOUR.COM

DUBLIN, Ohio -- The International team gathered for team photos just after 9:30 a.m. ET Tuesday before players warmed up and headed out in practice pods at Muirfield Village.

The pairings offered a sneak peek at some possible pairings for Thursday's four-ball matches.

First out were Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel. That the two would play together is hardly a surprise -- they're close friends and represented South Africa in the 2011 World Cup, where they finished 12th out of 28 teams.

Next off in a practice session were Jason Day and Graham DeLaet. Day of course is a member at Muirfield Village, while DeLaet is playing here for just the third time.

Fellow South Africans and Presidents Cup rookies Richard Sterne and Branden Grace were the third group off for the International team.

The remaining pods included Ernie Els with Brendon de Jonge, Adam Scott and Hideki Matsuyama and Angel Cabrera with Marc Leishman.
