No. 5 Kuchar among four tied at top

ATLANTA -- Matt Kuchar, who came to East Lake ranked fifth in the FedExCup, has joined the group at 2 under on top of the leaderboard at the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola.

Kuchar, who has come to the FedExCup Playoffs finale among the five players who control their own destiny in three of the last four years, is tied with Dustin Johnson, Roberto Castro and rookie phenom Jordan Spieth. Johnson was the last man in at No. 30 while Spieth and Castro are playing in the FedExCup finale for the first time.

Castro, though, played collegiately at Georgia Tech and East Lake is the Yellow Jackets' home course.

Brendon de Jonge, Sergio Garcia, Webb Simpson, Billy Horschel, Kevin Streelman, Gary Woodland, Justin Bolli and Henrik Stenson are 1 under. Stenson is seeded second as he makes his TOUR Championship debut.

Top-seeded Tiger Woods, who is playing with Stenson in the day's final pairing, missed a 6-footer for birdie on the first hole. He had a 27-footer on the next and had to get up and down for par at No. 3.
