One-and-done: BMW Championship

By Rob Bolton, PGATOUR.COM  Fantasy Insider

If you're a regular reader of this feature, then you know that I've been reserving Luke Donald for this week's BMW Championship. His recent form is suspect, but he's pseudo-host of the tournament where he commands the most course knowledge. I'm nothing if not faithful. That, and of the 20 in my Power Rankings, only Graham DeLaet (No. 7) and Roberto Castro (No. 20) are still on my board.

Despite my confidence in the Englishman, and as much as I'd like to save him for the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola where he's gone 2nd-T3-T3 the last three years, there's no guarantee that he'll advance as he's currently 54th in FedExCup points. That's the tipping point to burn him this week.

It opens the door for the possibility to lean on DeLaet at East Lake. At fifth in the FedExCup, he's highest of the seven currently inside the top 30 still available to me. The others are Gary Woodland (14th), Kevin Streelman (16th), D.A. Points (21st), Castro (25th), Brendon de Jonge (26th) and Harris English (28th). Only Woodland and Streelman have experience at the finale, so there will be options to consider.

Whomever you choose for the BMW, remember that there's no cut in either of the final two events. Well, 40 won't punch tickets to Atlanta, so just make sure to holster at least one that will be there.
