Stenson closing in on victory

NORTON, Mass. -- Henrik Stenson, who has three runner-up finishes this year, continues to stalk what would be his third PGA TOUR victory and his first since the 2009 PLAYERS Championship at TPC Boston on Monday.

The Swede drained a 32-footer on the 11th hole to open a three-stroke advantage as the final round of the Deutsche Bank Championship continues under cloudy, but dry skies.

Steve Stricker, who is trying to play his way onto Fred Couples' Presidents Cup team, is Stenson's closest pursuer. He's 2 under through 13 holes.

Ian Poulter, hoping to punch his ticket to the BMW Championship, is another stroke back at 17 under after a birdie at No. 15.

Overnight leader Sergio Garcia has struggled much of the afternoon, playing his first 14 holes in 4 over to drop back to 15 under for the week.
