Stenson back in contention at British

Henrik Stenson’s best finishes in major championships have come at The Open Championship. He finished third in both 2008 and 2010, and is in contention again. Stenson, the 2009 PLAYERS Championship winner, shot a second consecutive 70 Friday to sit at 2-under 140. He’s tied with Tiger Woods and Lee Westwood for low score among players who have completed 36 holes.

Zach Johnson, the first-round leader after a 66, is just getting his second round underway. Spain’s Rafael Cabrera-Bello is at 4 under par for the championship after playing eight holes of his second round. Miguel Angel Jimenez was 3 under par after nine holes of his second round. Dustin Johnson made a 10-foot eagle putt at the par-5 fifth hole to also reach 3 under.
