Frost delays start of first round

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Frost has caused a one-hour delay at the Waste Management Phoenix Open on Thursday.

The first round will now begin at 10:30 a.m. ET (8:30 a.m. MT) with Bo Van Pelt, Kevin Stadler and Kevin Chappell in the leadoff group on the first tee and Ryan Palmer, Matt Every and Harris English first off the 10th tee.

Van Pelt shot a course record 59 in Wednesday's pro-am. He made 10 birdies and an eagle when he almost holed his drive on the par-4 17th hole.

Thursday's forecast calls for temperatures to rise rapidly into the upper 60s with abundant sun. Temperatures the rest of the week will be in the low- to mid-70s.
