Short Game & Putting Key on the Plantation Course at Kapalua: Four of the last seven Hyundai Tournament of Champion winners have led the field for scrambling en route to their respective victories (all nine of the last nine winners ranked inside the top 10 for scrambling). Three of the last five winners have led the field for putts gained en route to victory. Seven of the last nine winners have either ranked first or second for strokes gained-putting en route to their victory.

The 400-yard mark: Since 2003, there have been 343 drives of 400 yards or more recorded on the PGA TOUR. Last season yielded 67 total drives of 400 or more yards, the most recorded in a single season since there were 83 in 2004. 198 of the 343 total 400-yard drives recorded on the PGA TOUR in last 10 years have come from the Hyundai Tournament of Champions on the Plantation Course at Kapalua. This works out to 57 percent of all 400-yard drives originating at the Plantation Course.
The par-5 18th hole on the Plantation Course at Kapalua is responsible for over one-fourth of all 400-yard drives on the PGA TOUR in the last nine years (92 of 343 – 26 percent). Dustin Johnson and Ernie Els hold the record for most 400-yard drives with 10 recorded in the last 10 years.
