Levin did not play in last week's Wyndham Championship.

Kevin Canning, Levin's agent, released this statement Monday afternoon:

"Spencer Levin has withdrawn from The Barclays due to sudden passing of his brother Blake. The Levin family is touched by and appreciative of the ongoing support they have received. Spencer will be returning to the PGA TOUR as soon as time and family will allow."

The Barclays field now stands at 123 . Jason Dufner had already announced that he was skipping the FedExCup Playoffs opener.
