Clark ties Garcia for lead

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Tim Clark made a 5-footer at the second hole and he's now tied for the lead at 14 under with Sergio Garcia at the Wyndham Championship.

Both players are bidding to end PGA TOUR victory droughts that began with victories at THE PLAYERS Championship. Garcia won the TOUR's signature event in 2008 while Clark was the champion two years later.

As the leaders focus their eyes on the Sam Snead Trophy, named after the eight-time winner of the Wyndham Championship, the race for the final spots in the FedExCup Playoffs heats up.

Heath Slocum has just made the turn at 11 under, which has moved him up 12 spots in the Projected standings to No. 116. Right now, the odd man out is Jhonattan Vegas, who started the week at No. 123 and missed the cut.
