Overton feels better, scores better

Overton opens with a 67

Jeff Overton said he feels healthy and it showed after a 3-under 67 on Thursday.

A month ago at THE PLAYERS Championship, Jeff Overton got a cortisone shot in his collarbone. He missed the cut that week, and followed with two more missed cuts before finishing tied for 38th last week at the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide Insurance. "It was tough for those little few weeks," Overton said. But he’s feeling better now, and it showed on Thursday with a 3-under 67 that puts him near the top of the lead. It’s also his best score in his last 18 rounds on TOUR. "My game is as good as it’s ever been," Overton said. Click here to replay Overton’s round
