Mickelson alone at top of leaderboard

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. -- Phil Mickelson is five holes away from his second straight victory of the season at the Northern Trust Open.

Mickelson owns sole possession of the lead for the second time on Sunday after his playing partner, Keegan Bradley, made bogey at the 13th hole. Bradley missed the green to the left and popped his chip up the hill to the fringe, then two-putted for the 5.

Mickelson was just off the green to the right. He chipped to 16 inches and tapped in for the par. He’s 8 under and Bradley, who held a share of the overnight lead with Lefty, is one stroke behind.

Bill Haas and Jonathan Byrd are 6 under.
