Harrington has eye on celeb title

By Brian Wacker, PGATOUR.COM

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. -- Padraig Harrington and European businessman J.P. McManus once had a stranglehold on the celebrity team competition of this event, but their lead is down to just three strokes over Brian Harman and Group O CEO Gregg Ontiveros heading into the final round.

Harrington and McManus are a combined 31 under. Only the top 25 on the amateur leaderboard advanced to Sunday’s final round.

Other notables who made the cut include Ricky Barnes and New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick. They’re 22 under and tied for seventh.

Steven Bowditch and Ray Romano are another stroke back and tied for ninth along with Josh Teater and Jack Wagner. Ken Duke and Tom Dreesen are 20 under and tied for 12th, while Tiger Woods and Tony Romo are another stroke back and tied for 15th.

Last year’s winners, D.A. Points and Bill Murray missed the cut by a stroke.
