Leaderboard update: Frazar now leads

HONOLULU -- It took Harrison Frazar 355 starts before he captured his first PGA TOUR event.

It might take him 11 to win his second.

Frazar has moved to the top of the Sony Open in Hawaii leaderboard at 11 under, one shot ahead of Michael Thompson, Johnson Wagner and Jeff Maggert.

Frazar is 3 under on his round through 10 holes and is coming off a birdie at the par-4 10th when he drove into the greenside bunker and got up and down.

Last year, he won the FedEx St. Jude Classic by beating Robert Karlsson in a playoff.

Thompson also is 3 under on his round through 14 holes. Wagner is even par through seven and Maggert is 2 over through seven after starting the day tied for the lead with Matt Every.

Every double-bogeyed the sixth hole and has dropped to 8 under.
