And Garrigus makes it three -- again

LA QUINTA, Calif. -- Robert Garrigus took advantage of the fourth of five par 5s on the Palmer Course and joined Mark Wilson and John Mallinger at the top of the leaderboard.

Garrigus rolled in a bomb of a 37-footer for the tying birdie at No. 14 while Wilson squandered a golden opportunity when a 6-footer refused to fall. The final group has four holes remaining as the shadows continue to lengthen in the desert.

Meanwhile, Jeff Maggert is the leader in the clubhouse at 21 under after two-putting for birdie on the 18th hole. Maggert, who turns 48 next month, won the last of his three PGA TOUR titles in 2006.

Johnson Wagner is also 21 under as he heads to the 18th hole, a 536-yard par 5 which is playing as the 15th easiest this week.
