Immelman ties record; scoring update

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. -- Trevor Immelman went 6 under over his last five holes Saturday to shoot an 8-under 62 and tie the tournament record in Round 3 of the McGladrey Classic. Immelman’s round moves him into third place behind leader Billy Horschel and Michael Thomspon. Horschel opened up a three-shot lead over Thompson early in the third round, but as the group made the turn, Horschel’s lead was down to one. Horschel has parred his last seven holes while Thompson posted birdies on Nos. 6 and 9 to get within one shot of the lead. Webb Simpson is back to even for the day, 10 under for the event, and in fourth place, four behind Horschel.
