Marino disappointed with 72

By Melanie Hauser, PGATOUR.COM Correspondent

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Steve Marino was sweating to make the cut Friday.

Saturday, he was just hot. As in sweating from the steamy Georgia heat. And disappointed with himself.

After his third round in the 70s -- 72 on Saturday -- he was shaking his head.

"I felt like I left so many shots on the course,''said Marino, who tied for 14th in his debut here last year. "I just haven't figured out how to play the back nine yet. I score well on the front ( two 36s, a 34) and haven't been able to do it on the back (39, 37, 36 respectively).

"I score well, then i give away shots on the back. I know how to play the course, just haven't been scoring.''

He did say, however, the course was out there for the taking today. When asked if there was a 31 out there, he just nodded.''
