Tim Herron is seeking his first win in five years.

Tim Herron last won on the PGA TOUR at Colonial in 2006. That par-70 course shares a lot of similarities with Harbour Town -- tight, small greens. And it might explain his sudden turnaround this week.

Herron has missed his last five cuts, mainly due to bad iron play, but he's tied for fourth in the field in greens hit this week. The 65 he fired on Thursday matched his low of the year, and he's tacked on two more birdies to get to 8 under and into a four-way tie for second with Jim Furyk, Camilo Villegas and Jason Day.
