Maggert withdraws with shoulder injury

Jeff Maggert, who came into The Barclays as the bubble boy ranked 100th, has withdrawn from the tournament due to a shoulder injury.

Maggert shot 79 in the first round and was 6 over through 11 holes on Friday when he decided to withdraw. At that pace, he would not have made the cut which is projected to come at even par and include 73 players.

Therefore, it’s a virtual certainty Maggert will not advance to the Deutsche Bank Championship. He’s three points ahead of No. 102 Kevin Streelman, who currently stands solo third.

The points distribution for 73rd would be 4.7 points.
