Cut watch: Former champions Toms, Gay in danger

The projected cut line heading into the weekend at the St. Jude Classic is even par, which puts former winners David Toms (2 over, through 15) and Brian Gay (3 over; 12:28 p.m. ET tee time) in danger of missing the weekend.

Other notables below the cut line include J.B. Holmes (2 over, 12:28 p.m. tee time), Ian Poulter (3 over, through 14 holes today), amateur Jordan Spieth (3 over, 1:54 p.m. tee time), and local favorite John Daly (3 over, through 14 holes).

Last year’s cut at the St. Jude Classic was 1 over.  -- Ryan Pierce
