Stankowski comeback continues

It wasn’t all that long ago that Paul Stankowski was a mainstay on the PGA TOUR, finishing in the top 100 on the money list in six of nine years from 1996-2004. Injuries have sidetracked his career, however, and he’s been bouncing between the Nationwide Tour and the PGA TOUR ever since, including this year.

The Flower Mound, Texas, resident is in contention here though, playing in just his third TOUR event of the season. He’s even par through eight holes here in Round 2, but he did have a long birdie on No. 6 just a little while ago (see video below), and 5 under for the week, just a couple of shots off the current lead. -- Brian Wacker
