It's that time of year again, Northeast Ohio! We're back to our normal dates (the first week of August) and the countdown has officially begun until August 2nd when gates open.
As if you weren't excited already, here's everything we have going on during tournament week to prepare you for your visit.

We will have an all new Kids Landing in the Pennzoil Fan Zone presented by Firestone Complete Auto Care this year! This area will feature putt-putt competitions, video games, face painting and the all-new Float Factory ice cream truck. The Float Factory features classic and contemporary ice cream floats from the owners of Nelly Belly truck, a treat for kids of all ages.
Fans will also see an enhanced area next to the clubhouse at The Lawn at Water Tower Way. The notable entrance to storied Firestone Country Club has long been a popular destination for autographs from the players as they finish their rounds, but this year, fans can expect to see a much larger space complete with a Selfie Zone, designated autograph area for kids and a large LED board.
For player autographs Wednesday through Sunday, please use the designated area at the clubhouse lawn. On Wednesday ONLY, a designated area is also available near the driving range. On-course autographs are not permitted.
Firestone Village This spectator area, open to everyone, is located between the 10th and 13th green, with proximity to the 18th tee in the middle of the course. Firestone Village features the Labatt Blue Beer Garden and famous burgers from Michael Symon’s B-Spot Burgers. • B-Spot Burgers is owned by award-winning celebrity chef Michael Symon, from Food Network’s Iron Chef America and Dinner Impossible. Mobile devices are permitted here.
Pennzoil® Fan Zone presented by Firestone Complete Auto Care Located behind the 18th green, the Fan Zone is expanding to include new amenities and spectator seating. Here, stop by and enjoy: • Swenson’s Food Truck - The Bridgestone Invitational has always been a great place to grab a burger or a snack and watch the best players in the world take on Firestone Country Club. Pick up a delicious Galley Boy Burger here from Akron’s very own Swenson’s Food Truck. • Pizza Hut - Need to fulfill a craving for pizza? Pizza Hut will be back in the Fan Zone to get you ready to hit the course. • 16th Hole Bridgestone Green Monster Challenge - Take a shot like the pros on a replica of the famed “Green Monster” 16th hole. • Merchandise Tent – Stock up on all of your tournament gear, but don’t forget to get something for the family!
Firestone Foodies Stop by the 12th green to check out a variety of food truck options from local vendors, including: Barrio, Lobster Louies and Hatfield’s Goode Grub. • Voted “Best Food Truck” by Cleveland Scene, Barrio offers a variety of taco options. • Canton’s Lobster Louies Food Truck includes both lobster and seafood cuisine. Choices include numerous lobster rolls and seafood “slidahs”, as well as tacos from the sea. • Hatfield’s Goode Grub brings Southern comfort food to Northeast Ohio with BBQ pork, beef and chicken.
Grey Goose 19th Hole No matter the time of day, the Grey Goose 19th Hole has something for everyone. Who doesn’t appreciate a Bloody Mary in the morning? Later in the day, enjoy the Bridgestone Invitational signature cocktail – The Green Monster Mist. Located near the 14th tee and 17th green next to the Firestone Village, the Grey Goose 19th Hole is a climate-controlled venue, which is open to the public 21 years of age and older.

Cornhole Competitions In partnership with Slick Woody’s Cornhole Co., the Bridgestone Invitational will have various cornhole boards throughout the tournament grounds for fans to enjoy. Toss a few, or hang out and watch the friendly competition ensue!
Soapbox Derby Races It’s fun for the whole family! Right next to the public parking, the Soapbox Derby grounds will be open for the first time during tournament week, and provide the chance for ticketholders to take a spin down the official Derby Downs. Rides are complimentary with the purchase of a Family Fun Package or by making a $5 donation to the Soapbox Derby.

New this year, fans can showcase their sports pride by wearing their favorite team’s apparel. To celebrate, legends of each respective league will be on site to interact with fans and players, and follow along with the exciting competition happening on the course.

This year, we will honor the late Arnold Palmer whilst showing its support of the Arnie’s Army Charitable Foundation by hosting Arnie’s March Ohio on Wednesday, August 2 at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.

There will be a Military Recognition Ceremony held Saturday, August 5 at 9:30 a.m. The ceremony in the Pennzoil Fan Zone presented by Firestone Complete Auto Care will feature military pageantry to honor special achievement military from Northeast Ohio. The ceremony is open to the public.
Peter Jacobsen, known for his passion and personality throughout his 40-year PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions careers, has been named the 2017 recipient of the Ambassador of Golf Award. The Ambassador of Golf Award is presented annually by Northern Ohio Golf Charities to a person who has fostered the ideals of the game on an international level and whose concern for others extends beyond the golf course.
Jacobsen will be honored during a presentation on the first tee at Firestone Country Club at 5:30 p.m., on Wednesday, August 2. Fans with Wednesday tickets will hear remarks from Jacobsen and PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan.
Downtown Music After Play on Saturday The Music After Play concert is heading downtown to support Akron Children’s Hospital. The Mawaka Foundation in partnership with LOPen Charities presents Rockin’ FORE the Kids! on Saturday, Aug. 5, at Canal Park in Akron. Rascal Flatts will headline the event at 8:30 p.m., with special guest Brother Trouble opening at 7 p.m. Fireworks will immediately follow the performance.

Mobile Device Policy • Devices must be on silent at all times. • Devices may not be used to capture video, audio and photos (content) in all areas throughout tournament week. • During practice and pro-am rounds, photography is permitted in all areas • During official competition rounds, photography is prohibited within any areas of competition (i.e. teeing grounds, tee shot landing areas and on/around putting greens) or when requested by tournament staff, security, players, or player representatives. Photography in non-competition areas is permitted. • Data use (e.g., texting) is permitted in all areas throughout tournament week. • Phone calls are allowed only in designated areas. • Please be respectful of play and do not interfere with players, caddies or media. • All posted signage and instructions from tournament staff must be observed. • Failure to comply with this policy may result in the revocation of your ticket.
