  • Tournament


The tournament is a 72-hole stroke play team event with each team comprised of two players. The first and third days are foursomes (alternate shot) play and the second and final days are four-ball (best ball) play. 

Team: The team is two players from one country. 

Four-Ball (not Best Ball): A Four-ball match is when two play their better ball against the better ball of two other players.

Order of Play in Four-Ball:
 The balls belonging to the same side may be played in the order the side considers best. 

 A Foursomes match is when two play again two, and each side plays one ball. Players alternate hitting tee shots. 

 The referee is one who is appointed by the committee to accompany players to decide questions of fact and apply the Rules. He shall act on any breach of a Rule that he observes or is reported to him. A referee’s decision is final.
