A little more than 20 years ago, J.Lindeberg burst on the scene and shook up the world of golf fashion. Its progressive looks possessed a healthy respect for the traditions of the game while challenging the status quo. For example, the Swedish fashion house took traditional plaids and argyles and made them hip and cool.
J.Lindeberg was also at the forefront of many of the biggest fashion trends in the late ‘90s and early aughts. In addition to pastel plaids and deconstructed argyles, the brand had a hand in bringing slimmer fits, wide belts, and plate-sized belt buckles to the fairways. Young, fashion-conscious players like Jesper Parnevik, Camilo Villegas, and Aaron Baddeley flocked to the brand in an effort to stand out from the crowd of baggy khakis and oversized polos on TOUR.
To celebrate its heritage as a trendsetter in the game, J.Lindeberg has released the ICONIC Golf Capsule Collection. The collection takes J.Lindeberg’s most iconic golf pieces and reinterprets them in modern and updated ways. Several pieces also feature hand-drawn logos to replicate Johan Lindeberg’s personal signature.
“The ICONIC Capsule Collection represents exactly what we want to do with our golf line—presenting new and disruptive golf fashion where the best parts of the past have been updated to fit the modern and future golfer,” said Jens Werner, Creative Director at J.Lindeberg.
Over the years, J.Lindeberg has excelled at tastefully incorporating its famous Bridge logo into its designs. The latest example of this is the KV Polo from the ICONIC Collection which features the logo stretching across the back of the shirt. The Tour Tech Polo in the collection also makes mention of the logo through bold graphics and text.
Also, included in the limited-edition collection is the long-sleeve Aello Soft Compression base layer, a black sweater vest, a hoodie, a cotton sweater with an all-over logo pattern, a full-zip wind jacket, a black leather belt, multiple styles of hats, and a water-resistant trouser fabricated from Schoeller 3XDry technology.
