Twenty years after leading the golf fashion revolution, J.Lindeberg continues to disrupt the game’s traditional styles with fashion-forward looks. The latest example of this is the Swedish brand’s Fall/Winter 2018 Collection. This new collection offers a modern take on retro designs by combining cutting-edge fabrics with bold graphics and daring colors from the late ‘60s and ‘70s.
Navy blue, black, white, and various shades of grey are at the heart of every J.Lindeberg collection. These signature hues once again form a sophisticated backdrop for the brand’s color stories this season. While you can’t go wrong by adding these traditional colors to your wardrobe, it is the eye-catching mix of vibrant Daz and Silent Blues, Racing and Poppy Reds, and a luxurious Burgundy that provides the inspiration for autumn. Earlier this year, J.Lindeberg released three polos with unique hand-painted prints. For F/W’18, it continues this theme with a hand-painted camo print crafted by a New York City artist and inspired by the lights and shadows of the mountains during the winter.
With cooler temperatures approaching, J.Lindeberg’s attention for fall has turned to outerwear. The brand is bridging the gap between fashion and functionality with lightweight, stretchy, agile, and durable layering pieces.
Key components of the collection are a new knitted hybrid jacket and new military-inspired rain jackets. The knitted hybrid jacket is an easy way for stylish golfers to extend the season. Strategically-placed nylon panels on the front and back protect against wind and rain. A knitted Merino and Coolmax fabric on the sleeves and sides helps to regulate body temperature while providing the comfort and playability of a sweater. A jacquard branded graphic is knitted into the cuffs for a stylish yet subtle detail.
On days when a cold rain will keep many players off the course, J.Lindeberg’s collection of waterproof gear is ideal for die-hard golfers looking to squeeze in another round before the end of the season. The range of 2.5 Ply bonded rain gear extends from an updated full zip jacket and pants to a bomber jacket with epaulets and an M-65-inspired field parka. Both feed into current off-course trends, but are also fully functional and designed for golf.
Additional pieces in the J.Lindeberg’s F/W’18 Collection include peached long sleeve polo shirts, technical Coolmax sweaters, and hybrid vests. Below the waist, the brand’s signature trousers receive style and fabrication updates. A new peached, clear twill fabric is as soft as it is warm. New colors, prints, and jacquards are on trend while piping and side stripe details put a fresh spin on some classic styles.
