What’s one thing that keeps many golfers from lacing up a new pair of shoes? The often painful break in process that involves blisters, band-aids, and wearing the shoes around the house for days before heading to the course.

Callaway’s new line of footwear, though, takes the pain out of slipping on a fresh pair of kicks by delivering comfort right out of the box. The new collection, which is now available in golf shops, has a variety of shoes to meet the style and performance preferences of virtually every type of player.

The classic-looking Primero features a water-resistant 100% full-grain leather upper and it is built on a lightweight TPU outsole with nine removable SLIM-Lok PiviX cleats for traction and control. The traditional silhouette is complemented with modern details in the form of a reflective, carbon-fiber-like panel that runs around the heel of the shoe from lace to lace and a set of speckled laces, which elevates the look of the shoe. The keys to the out of the box comfort lie in the soft EVA midsole and mesh liner. The midsole is designed to work in concert with the arch of the foot to allow for a natural walking motion down the fairways. The mesh liner provides breathability and moisture control in an effort to prevent the dreaded swamp foot.

Joining the Primero at the Tour-quality end of the line is the sporty Coronado. With its clean looks and sleek design, the Coronado epitomizes everything about a modern golf shoe. Much like the Primero, the Coronado features a carbon-fiber-like wrap around the back to keep the foot locked in place during the swing. A water-resistant microfiber upper helps to cut weight and the vented sides bring an extra element of breathability to the shoe. Adding to the comfort is a vented polyurethane sockliner, which molds to the foot over time. By borrowing the SLIM-Lok PiveX cleats and lightweight TPU outsole from the Primero, the Coronado helps players to be closer to the ground for maximum traction and stability.

Two more casual options in the line include the spikeless Swami and the athletic La Jolla. The laid-back attitude and full-grain leather upper allow the Swami to easily transition from the course to the street. The outsole of the Swami features a bold Callaway logo and multidirectional lugs made from a hardwearing Dura-rubber. Unlike other shoes in the line, the Swami receives an upgrade in the form of a luxurious pigskin lining around the collar for a soft feel and a channeled tongue for enhanced breathability.

The sporty La Jolla delivers the unique combination of clean looks and comfort. The sleek style and soft color scheme will turn heads on the first tee for all the right reasons. The La Jolla employs the same microfiber leather upper, EVA midsole, molded sockliner and mesh liner as the Coronado. The combination of seven SLIM-Lok cleats and Dura-rubber lugs provide all the stability, control and traction players need.
