In 2015, Puma Golf introduced the TITANTOUR shoe with Outlast® technology in the insole to regulate the temperature of the foot. Later that year, the brand launched the TITANTOUR IGNITE with the addition of a proprietary foam designed to make the shoe more responsive and comfortable. Now, in 2017, Puma has once again taken the TITANTOUR family to another level with its new DISC Collection of footwear.

This collection combines the comfort and performance features of the previous TITANTOUR versions with Puma’s revolutionary DISC closure system, a laceless system that utilizes a micro-adjusting reel to tighten or loosen the fit of the shoe. With a simple right turn of the dial, durable wire laces tighten the upper. Not only does this create a custom fit, but it also enhances the stability of the shoe by locking the foot in place. Likewise, turning the dial to the left releases the wire laces, allowing the shoe to be easily removed.

“At PUMA Golf we strive to push the boundaries of innovation in all of our products, while keeping in mind the specific needs of golfers: style, fit, comfort and stability,” said Grant Knudson, head of Footwear at Puma Golf. “With just a simple twist of the DISC, you have amazing fit and feel that will keep you secure and comfortable during a round.”

The two showcase shoes in the collection are the sporty TITANTOUR IGNITE DISC ($180) and the luxurious TITANTOUR IGNITE Premium DISC ($200). Both models are built on Puma’s Epic Performance last and possess sleek and modern shapes with classic toe-down designs. The full-grain leather uppers deliver the soft, supple feel that you’d expect from TOUR-level shoes.

Adding to the stability provided by the DISC closure system is the lightweight PWRFRAME TPU outsole which encases the responsive IGNITE foam and provides a firm base. For flexibility, the outsole also features DUOFLEX, a combination of harder and softer materials with anatomically positioned flex grooves that allow the foot to move naturally. The low-profile Stealth™ cleats from Softspikes® work in harmony with the outsole to provide top-shelf traction even at the highest swing speeds.

Look for the TITANTOUR IGNITE DISC and Premium DISC to be worn on the PGA TOUR this year by Puma brand ambassadors Rickie Fowler and Graham DeLaet in a variety of stylish colorways.

Joining Puma’s DISC family are the IGNITE Spikeless Sport DISC ($140), which Bryson DeChambeau will be wearing in 2017. The upper of the shoe combines a lightweight, breathable mesh with a premium leather. The spikeless outsole features a mix of hexagons and chevron-shaped lugs for multidirectional traction.

Rounding out the collection are the Blaze DISC ($120) for women and the Grip Sport Junior DISC ($80) for kids. Both provide a sporty, fashion-forward aesthetic and all the performance and comfort features of the men’s models.
