The Style Report

With temperatures on the rise and summer just around the corner, Adidas Golf is encouraging golfers to ‘free the knee’ with the brand’s new Ultimate Short.

‘Ultimate’ is a fitting name, as this new and innovative short is not only loaded with technology to beat the heat, but also offers some serious style to keep you on trend this season.

Everything about the Ultimate Short is built around performance and comfort. Gone are the days of heavy cotton twill shorts. In fact, the lightweight, stretchy, moisture-wicking, water-resistant fabric on the Ultimate Short is closer to what you would find on a pair of board shorts or gym shorts.

In addition to the fabric, snag-free micromesh pocket bags provide airflow and breathability for those hot and humid days on the links. The stretch waistband is designed for mobility and comfort, and the branded silicon gripper helps you to keep your shirt tucked in.

Adidas Golf's Ultimate short is water-resistant and it's stretch waistband has a gripper to keep your shirt tucked.

The Ultimate Short is no slouch in the style department, either. The modern cut offers a clean silhouette and the 10-inch inseam hits just above the knee. It is available in six different design options, including one with a trendy denim-like print, two contemporary plaids, and a sporty heather pattern. The solid color version is available in a spectrum of 10 colors, allowing you to amp up your look with a hot pink, bright blue, vibrant teal or minty green, or you can play it safe with more traditional options.

If you favor pants over shorts, don’t sweat it. Adidas Golf’s Ultimate Pant features all the bells and whistles that the short offers. Jason Day debuted the Ultimate Pant at The Masters, and members of the U.S. Olympic Team will be sporting it in Rio this summer.

Day also debuted Adidas Golf’s new TOUR360 PRIME BOOST shoe at Augusta National. Over the past couple of years, Adidas has used its PrimeKnit technology to maximize the performance and comfort of basketball, running and soccer shoes. Now, the brand is bringing this seamless one-piece knit upper to the links. The TOUR360 PRIME BOOST includes the same high performance features as the original TOUR360 BOOST, and the lightweight, breathable and flexible knit upper makes it a great option for the warmer spring and summer months.

Mark your calendar, though. The TOUR360 PRIME BOOST will be available on June 1st, but only in limited quantities.

Joining the TOUR360 PRIME BOOST is Adidas Golf’s new adipure footwear collection. With three high-end models  – (L-R) the adipure TP, adipure classic and adipure cross – this collection blends old world style and craftsmanship with modern technology.

All three shoes feature elegant lines, classic silhouettes, premium leather and innovative low profile outsoles. Each are built on a new pureMTO LAST, which was designed and hand-crafted by renowned shoe creator Toshiaki Omori, and feature a new ThinSOF leather upper with climaproof® technology. The adipure TP and adipure classic are equipped with low profile cleated outsoles for stability and tour-quality traction, while the adipure cross has a flexible, low profile spikeless outsole.

“The adipure collection is our pursuit at combining game changing technologies with old world craftsmanship,” said Masun Denison, director of Footwear at Adidas Golf. “We know there is a market for a timeless looking golf shoe, but we also know that advancements in grip, stability and comfort are things golfers can benefit from. This delicate dance between craftsmanship and technology has led us to our new adipure lineup, which sets a new standard for modern classic footwear.”

The adipure footwear collection is on store shelves now. The adipure TP is available in three colorways: Black/Dark Silver Metallic, White/Dark Silver Metallic and Redwood/Dark Silver Metallic at an MSRP of $250.

The adipure classic is available in four colorways: Black/ Silver Metallic, White/Dark Metallic, Cognac Brown/ Silver Metallic and Clear Onyx/ Dark Silver Metallic at an MSRP of $170.

The adipure cross is available in three colorways: Black, White and Redwood at an MSRP of $200.
