Stat of the Day: Z. Johnson's putting

Zach Johnson is the defending champion at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial and also won in 2010. But he has just three T25s in 12 events in 2013 and ranks 95th in FedExCup points. What's the deal? His putting. Johnson ranks 101st in strokes gained-putting (he's losing strokes to the field average), a big difference from past seasons when he gained nearly a half-stroke per round on the field average. That adds up to two shots per tournament on the field average alone.
