Sang-Moon Bae had quite a week on the greens en route to winning the HP Byron Nelson Championship on Sunday. In fact, his work from outside of 20 feet ranked among the best of the past 10 seasons on the PGA TOUR. We'll take a look at that, some interesting scrambling stats among money leaders and dive into this week's Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial by going inside the numbers ...

1  Only Ben Hogan won back-to-back titles at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. And he did it twice, in 1946-47 and 1952-53. … Defending champion Zach Johnson will attempt to join him this week. Johnson won at Hogan’s Alley twice, in 2012 and 2010. For comparison, Johnson owns nine PGA TOUR wins; Hogan finished with 64, which ranks fourth all-time.

6  Number of putts Bae made from outside of 20 feet at the HP Byron Nelson, which led the field. … Since 2003, Bae is just the 11th TOUR winner to make six or more putts from beyond 20 feet. He also ranked second in strokes gained-putting (1.753) at the HP Byron Nelson and tied for first in putts converted from outside of 10 feet with 12. The last time Bae made 12 putts from outside 10 feet came during his previous best finish on TOUR, when he lost in a playoff to Luke Donald at the Tampa Bay Championship presented by EverBank.

6  Must be the lucky number this week. It's also the number of top-10 finishes by the 2013 co-leaders in this category, Keegan Bradley and Brandt Snedeker … Bradley earned his sixth T10 of the season with his runner-up finish at the HP Byron Nelson. Bradley, who ranks eighth in FedExCup points, had five T10s for all of 2012.

8   Number of players among the top 10 money leaders this season who rank inside the top 45 in scrambling on the PGA TOUR. … How important is a solid short game? Clearly, it’s crucial. In order of money leaders, No. 1 Tiger Woods (19th), No. 2 Brandt Snedeker (10th), No. 3 Kevin Streelman (28th), No. 5 Matt Kuchar (22nd), No. 8 Keegan Bradley (37th), No. 9 D.A. Points (44th) and No. 10 Steve Stricker (34th) are inside the top 45. No. 7 Adam Scott would be inside the top 45 if he had enough events to qualify for the stat. Only No. 4 Billy Horschel (121st) and No. 6 Phil Mickelson (113th) rank outside the top 45 in scrambling.

Rule 20-7  In winning the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial last year, Zach Johnson incurred a two-stroke penalty for not replacing his ball in the correct spot on the 18th green before holing out. Johnson had moved his marker because it was in playing partner Jason Dufner’s line but he forgot to move it back before putting. The violation was discovered before Johnson signed his scorecard and a penalty of two strokes was assessed. Johsnon won by 1. "There's a number of adjectives I'm calling myself right now. And lucky would be the biggest one," Johnson said at the time.

23  Consecutive cuts made by Jimmy Walker, which leads the TOUR. … Walker’s T27 at HP Byron Nelson kept his streak going. He’s currently 14th in FedExCup points and owns four T10s this season. Walker, who hasn’t missed a cut since last season’s The Greenbrier Classic, is still searching for his first career PGA TOUR victory.

26 of 30  Cuts made/number of appearances for Corey Pavin at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. … Pavin, now a Champions Tour regular, has played in every event since his first start in 1984. He’s a two-time champion, having won in ’85 and ’96. He also has eight T10s. Hogan has the most T10s in the event with 15.
