Cole Miller finishes with Even-par 70 in first round of the RSM Classic

In his first round at the RSM Classic, Cole Miller hit 11 of 14 fairways and 15 of 18 greens in regulation, finishing at even-par for the tournament. Miller finished his day tied for 91st at even par; Webb Simpson is in 1st at 7 under; Kyoung-Hoon Lee, Cameron Tringale, and Rhein Gibson are tied for 2nd at 6 under; and Hank Lebioda, Sebastián Muñoz, Nick Taylor, Rory Sabbatini, Alex Cejka, Tyler Duncan, Brian Harman, Scott Brown, and Scott Harrington are tied for 5th at 5 under.
On the 409-yard par-4 fifth hole, Miller reached the green in 2 and sunk a 21-foot putt for birdie. This moved Miller to 1 under for the round.
On the 582-yard par-5 seventh, Miller got on the green in 4 and two-putt for bogey, bringing Miller to even-par for the round.
Miller got a bogey on the 452-yard par-4 ninth, getting on the green in 3 and two putting, moving Miller to 1 over for the round.
On the par-4 13th, Miller's 96 yard approach to 10 feet set himself up for the birdie on the hole. This moved Miller to even for the round.
